Elizabeth Rietz has been an active artist working in a number of mediums for over 50 years. In Atlanta since 1966, she had a career as an illustrator for over 15 years before taking up sculpture, ceramics and figurative painting, and exhibiting with the Atlanta Fine Arts League and the Atlanta Portrait Society. She has studied under Russell Marshall, Mary Beth McKenzie and the late James Schell and has been featured in several Southeastern galleries before arriving in the Charleston area in 2016. Here she continues to develop her strong, energetic style in portraiture, landscapes and still lifes, and more recently, animal studies. Portraits by commission.
