After years of work Gloria has evolved into a permanent fixture in the art community of Macon, Georgia. She has won the fine artist of the year for the Cherry Blossom festival in 2008. She was also the Peach festival artist in 2008, 2009, and 2010. Gloria has won several awards at the Georgia National Fair and has exhibited in several galleries in Georgia and the Perspective Gallery in Charleston, SC. Georgia’s art career started after a medical background as a medical technologist after graduating with a Bachelor’s degree from the Medical College of Georgia in 1968. She has studied under John de la Vega Shirley Long, Emie Dixon and Martin Adams. She has used various mediums and styles in the past. She has painted on furniture, glass, and cloth before settling primarily on canvas. Gloria’s life now is joyfully filled with art, grandchildren, and husband.
