You can find her paintings exhibited at Perspective Gallery in Mt. Pleasant, Island Art Gallery in Pawleys Island, S.C. and Brookgreen Gardens in Murrels Inlet, S.C. Cathy Fuller (cathypetersonfullerartist@gmail.com): “I see color as an avenue of expression, everyone needs some color in their life. I am passionate about the colors of my city Charleston, the outdoors, the water, the architecture, everywhere I look there’s a painting !” Don Sturdivant (donsturdivant@gmail.com): I’ve enjoyed working in watercolor, acrylics, and oil…often combining those media and techniques. Living in the Charleston Low Country provides a wealth of inspiration for landscapes and maritime pieces, and are often a jumping off point for abstract works. As my artist journey evolves I hope to be open to all possibilities and stay true to my personal motto: Maintain rigid flexibility at all times!"

Donna Geriner (dbrinatgeriner@gmail.com): Whatever the subject, Donna approaches each one with the anticipation of discovering the beauty, color, texture and mood that make each one unique and special. Donna seeks to pass this sense of excitement and discovery on to all who view her works. Mary Johnson Voss (mjdesigns@sc.rr.com): Mary uses watercolors, oils, pastels, and silk dyes to covey what her eyes see in the world around her. Her love of color, attention to detail, and the ability to capture “a moment in time”, helps viewers see beauty, not only in the entire composition, but also in the important details, making the canvas come alive.

Esther Doyle (highlanderfolk@cs.com): I have spent the past couple of years focused on scratch art primarily, turning wooden bowls, and recently incorporating my art on my turned wooden pieces by burning my art into the wood. There’s just no end to the fun and satisfaction of learning something new. I see my artistic endeavors as a challenge to improve, and a gift not to be squandered." Ginny Versteegen (ginnyversteegen@msn.com): Ginny is known as a Contemporary Impressionist. Her work has been recently described by the Post and Courier as “pushing the boundaries of color and light through her paintings. Her subjects are caressed in light…..Taking inspiration from nature while working outdoors in plein air, Versteegen is able to bring the kind of emphatic movement and soft focus that nature offers on dim fall days and bright spring mornings.”

Martha Cave(mmh5of5@yahoo.com): Martha and her husband spend a lot of time on the waterways where she draws inspiration for painting the local landscapes. She has studied art with several local artist, most recently with Emmy Bronson of Mcclellanville. Elizabeth Rietz (erietz@hotmail.com): Elizabeth Rietz has been an active artist working in a number of mediums for over 50 years. She continues to develop her strong, energetic style in portraiture, landscapes and still lifes, and more recently, animal studies. Portraits by commission.

I enjoy the way I can capture the impact of a moment in a landscape by directly applying the pigment with my fingers." Carol Meis (meis.carole@yahoo.com): “ I love painting. To capture the beauty I see whether it be a flower growing in my garden, a tranquil marsh scene or found objects by the seashore. Painting theses subjects invigorate me and keeps me enthusiastic as an artist. For me, the luminosity and translucency of watercolor is everything.”

Susan Bryant (skbryant1@gmail.com): Susan is a local real estate agent with Agent Owned Realty who has been expressing her artistic side with photography and photographic "paintings" to enhance her personal properties and her listings to help get them marketed and sold. Katherine Bates (kathypaints@homesc.com): Capturing the elusive moment when light enhances form has enchanted Katherine Bates since the early 1990s, when she began painting exclusively in watercolor.
